Checking Base Color for Forecast Preparation

For each season, note the below regarding the Base Color

  • Each work # must have one base color and cannot have more than one
  • If the base color from the previous season is not carried over, you will need to assign a new base color

Navigate to the season you need to update

  1. Select the "Forecasting" View
  2. Clear all Filters
  3. Export to Excel

Open the file in Excel

  1. Delete Row 1
  2. Delete Column A
  3. Delete Column B
  4. Add a blank column to the right of Column L.  Ensure the column is formatted as "General" not "Text." Combine work # and color letter =Concat(J3,L3) in the below example
  5. Remove all "Nos" from the Base Color column

Remove Duplicate Work #s

  1. Select all data in the work sheet (ctrl+A)
  2. Navigate to the "Data" ribbon
  3. Click "Remove Duplicates"
  4. Unselect All and then Select column K.  Click OK.  Delete Column K

Create the Pivot Table

  1. Drag Work # to the Rows
  2. Drag Base Color to Values
  3. Look for numbers greater than one and correct them in PTC
  4. Look for zeros and correct them in PTC
