Carryover Products & Colorways Process N2

Things to Remember

1.      The Products/Colorways should be carried over only once to a season by Marketing Team.

2.      Products/Colorways should not be removed from a season and added back to the same again at a later point of time.

3.      If a Product is carried over first and then at later point colorways are carried over then whatever source and spec associated during Product carryover will remain as is and will not change when colorways are carried over later.

Carryover Products with Colorways

Once we finalize one season and want to use the same products in the next season we carryover colorways. Carrying over a colorway carries over its product. The carried over products will have the same work number in the new season. Similarly the carried over colorways will have the same article numbers in the new season. Any modifications done on the product or colorway will reflect in all the seasons. However, the seasonal attributes are season specific and can be independently modified.

Below mentioned are the steps to carryover a colorway:

1.       From the line sheet in which to carryover colorways and associated products, Click on Actions > Carry Over: Colorways

2.       From the pop up, select the season from which to carryover colorways.

3.       From the list results. Select the colorways to carry over. You can select one or multiple colorways to carryover. All the colorways would be carried over into their own associated products.

4.       Colorways get carried over to the new season and are associated to older seasons as well

5.       Only Primary Source is carried over to new Season. A new blank specification is created without having any components such as Images, BOM, and Measurements which do not get carried over to the new season except for Product Sizing Definition.

Any changes done to these will take effect in all the associated seasons. The work number of the product remains same. As well as the article numbers remain same in all the seasons

6.       Only the primary cost sheet of the primary source gets copied to the new season. This cost sheet is individual copy of the cost sheets from the old seasons. Unselect the specification to see the cost sheets for a source

7.       If you do not want to carry over any or all of the colorways, then go to the line sheet and remove the not needed colorway from that season. Right click on the colorway name and then remove colorway as below image.

8.       Colorway gets removed for that carried over season.

Carryover Product without colorways

We carryover a product when we want to use the same product in the new season (i.e. maintain the same work #). A carry over product will bring forward the product in the new season. If any change is made to the product attributes, it will be reflected across all seasons. However, the seasonal product attributes are independent and can be changed per season. You can carry over one or more products at a time.

In case you want to carryover a product which does not have any colorway associated to it, follow the below process to just carry over Products.

1.       In order to carry over this product from 2023 to 2024, go to the line sheet in which you would want to carry over the products and select Carry over: Products from the Actions drop down.

2.       Check the Product and click on select

3.       Primary source is carried over to new season and a new spec is created.

4.       Once the product is carried over, any change made to non seasonal product attributes will be reflected in all seasons.

5.       The seasonal attributes can be independently modified per season.

6.       The colorways DO NOT get carried over to the new season.

7.       Only primary Cost sheet of primary source get carried over.

8.       This cost sheet is not a carryover cost sheet but is a copy of cost sheet from old season from which the Product is carried over.

Remove Colorway from season and deleting Cost sheet for that Colorway

1.        If Colorway is carried over to new season and is not needed anymore then if it needs to be removed from new season, respective cost sheets also will be deleted.

2.        For instance let us assume that Colorway C- Grey/Black/Onix Grey is not needed in the newly carried over 2025 Fall / Winter. Also there is a Cost sheet generated for this colorways in new season.

3.        This colorway needs to be removed from newly carried over season.

4.        Now delete the Cost sheet which is not needed from new season.
