Creating Views and Filter - N2


  1. Login to PTC FlexPLM application and navigate to season line sheet. 

 

 

  1. Click on the drop-down arrow next to Views. 

 

 

  1. Select the View from the drop-down list. The selected view is now displayed on the Line Sheet. 

 

 

  1. Update the existing view by clicking on the "Update table layout" icon. 

 

 

  1. Click on Copy View. 

    In order to have Copy View option user need to be part of View Admin group. If these buttons are disabled please request PLM support team for access. 

 

Notice the Typeof the View(Product in the example shown above). So this view will be visible across all the seasons with this Product Type. 

 

  1. Name the new View. To make the view your default view, click on the box next to Default View. 

Select the Group if it is applicable to any specific group and Click on Create. 

 

  1. To Add attributes to the existing list, select the necessary attributes under Selectable Attributes and click Add. 

 

  1. To Remove attributes from the existing list, select the unnecessary attribute from the Chosen list and click Remove. To move attributes up or down in the list, click on the up and down arrows 

 

 

  1. To Group the attributes on the Line Sheet, click on the drop-down arrow next to Group By 1 select the attribute to group by from the list 

 

 

 

 

 

The Grouped By attribute has to be an attribute that is included in the view 

 

  1. Repeat the above steps for Group By 2, if needed 
  2. Save your view by clicking on Update 

 

 

  1. Return to the Line Sheet by clicking on Return. 

 

  1. The new view is now created and accessible from the Views drop-down list. 

If you used the Group By feature, you will notice your view is grouped by the selected attribute(s) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Creating new filter 

  1. Login to PTC FlexPLM application and navigate to season line sheet. Click on Option button and Filter will show.. 

 

 

  1. Click on create new filter icon. 

 

  1. Give the name to filter, Choose whether the filter needs to be default on not.  There are 2 types of filters. 

Template Filter 

  1. Select on Template Filter to be able to choose the filter criteria when run from Line sheet and Click on Create button. 

 

 

  1. Select the attribute for which the filter needs to be applied. 

     

 

  1. Choose the filter list options and click on Add button. 

 

  1. Filter list options are added to Current Filter section. These can be removed by clicking cross(x) icon. 

 

 

  1. Click on Update button, the page is refreshed. Now click on Return button to return to Line sheet page. 

 

  1. Newly created filter is shown in Filter list, add the options you would like to apply on and click on Run button. Line sheet results are returned as per this filter. 

 

 

Non-Template Filter 

  1. Do not select the Template Filter if you do not want to choose the filter criteria when run from Line sheet. Click on Create button. 

 

  1. Select the attribute for which the filter needs to be applied. 

     

 

  1. Add the filter list option values and click on Add button.  

 

  1. Filter list options are added to Current Filter section. These can be removed by clicking cross(x) icon. 

 

 

  1. Click on Update button, the page is refreshed. Now click on Return button to return to Line sheet page. 

 

  1. Newly created filter is shown in Filter list, In Non Template filter we do not have the option of choosing the filters attributes values during line sheet run. The attribute options selected during filter creation are automatically used for filtering the line sheet results.
