Fix Legacy AI Issues - 2020 Upgrade

When we upgrade to new PTC and AI 2014 to AI 2020, there are conversions occurring in the legacy AI files. PTC has a tool that attempts to update the old AI file to the new format, but this tool does NOT always work. Here is how to identify the issue and update it.

HOW TO IDENTIFY THE ISSUES

If the conversion did not work, and the link between PTC and the image page is broken you will see a red box around the cell in the FlexPLM Image Page window.

If you do not resolve this issue, when you try to save the file you will see the below error message.

How to Fix the Issue

To resolve the issue, you need to re-assign the image to the Image Page Cell. This must be done for every cell

If you do not resolve the issue, the image page will be cleared, and the content will not pass to PTC. ☹
