Create a Size Definition and Assign Article #'s

SKU- Size Definition table is populated once the article number is assigned. The sizes that are added as Size 1 values in the Product Size Definition (PSD) of colorway’s latest season are used to populate the SKU-Size table. 

Scenario 1 - Product Size Definition does not exist for Product

  1. Navigate to Product details page and choose the colorway which needs to assigned and updated. Click on Update Colorway option from Actions drop down.

  1. Assign Article # to the colorway by checking the Assigned attribute and click on Save button.

  1. If the below validation message comes then there is no Product Size Definition (PSD) created for this Product. So, cancel this operation by clicking on Cancel button.
  1. Follow the steps mentioned in Cheat sheet for Size Definition Management under section “Adding Product Size Definition for new Product “.
  1. Once the PSD is added product and colorway’s latest season as shown below. Perform the steps (1-3) again. The colorway also will be updated successfully unless any of the below scenarios (Scenarios 3 and 4) are encountered.

Scenario 2 - Product Size Definition does not exist for Product and Colorway’s latest season

  1. Colorway’s is already assigned with Article # and the latest season to which colorway is added or carried over is as shown below. UPC Article Number and SKU- Size table is also populated.

  1. Now from the actions drop down click on Update Colorway option.

  1. Update Colorway pages opens. Make the necessary attribute changes, Attribute Assigned should be checked once colorway is finalized and Article# is assigned. Now click on Save button.
  1. An error message is shown as below, which says that there is no Product Size Definition added to the colorway’s latest season. This needs to be corrected before proceeding to update colorway. So cancel this operation by clicking on Cancel button.
  1. In order to correct this, navigate to Specification->Sizing tab of the product. As we can see there is no Product Size Definition added to latest season i.e. 2022 Spring / Summer Underwear in below screen shot.
  1. Follow the steps mentioned in Cheat sheet for “Size Definition Management” under section “Adding existing Product Size Definition to season”.
  1. Once the PSD is added as below, perform the steps (1-4) again. The colorway will be updated successfully unless any of the below scenarios (Scenarios 3 and 4) are encountered.

Scenario 3 - Product Size Definition exists but Article Suffix values are empty and Size 1 Values are more than 1(ignoring OSFA)

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 3 of Scenario 2. If a validation message comes as below, Article Suffix values for Product Size Definition are blank. Product Size Definition needs to be updated with Article Suffix values. So, cancel this operation by clicking on Cancel button.

  1. Navigate to Specification->Sizing tab of the product. From actions drop down click on View.
  1. As shown below Article Suffix values are blank.
  2. Article Suffix values should be equivalent to the number of Sizes added. Please contact the Marketing Team to add the Article Suffix values accordingly as this is Marketing function. 
  3. Once the PSD is updated with Article Suffix values and confirmed by Marketing Team, Update the colorway again.
  4. Colorway will be updated successfully unless below scenario (Scenarios 4) is encountered.

Scenario 4 - Product Size Definition exists but Article Suffix values are less than Size 1 Values (ignoring OSFA)

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 3 of Scenario 2. If a validation message comes as below”One or more Sizes have not been provided with Article Suffixes in Product Size Definition.” So Product Size Definition needs to be updated with correct Article Suffix values. Cancel this operation by clicking on Cancel button.

  1. Navigate to Specification->Sizing tab of the product. From actions drop down click on View.
  1. As shown below Article Suffix values are not matching to the number of sizes added.There are 5 sizes added but only 4 Article Suffix values are present which is wrong. Please contact the Marketing Team to add the Article Suffix values accordingly as this is Marketing function.
  1. Once the PSD is updated with correct Article Suffix values and confirmed by Marketing Team, Update the colorway again.
  2. Colorway will be updated successfully now.
  3. Now navigate to Update Colorway page and click on Save button.
  4. On saving of Colorway UPC number and Article Number populated on SKU-Size table with the new size and Unique UPC Number will be allocated for each size as shown below.
